A client in Karori needed a kitchen solution that seamlessly integrated with their small space and existing oak period furniture. Plylab crafted custom cabinetry using oak veneer plywood, paired with stainless steel benchtops. The black dishwasher is a great match with the Futura matt black cabinet faces, while special care was taken with the fridge surround to ensure it sits perfectly flush with the fridge face, creating a seamless appearance. The cork flooring, chosen by the client, adds warmth to the design, and a bespoke lamp, designed and manufactured in Auckland, enhances the space above the island. This blend of materials perfectly complements the home’s eclectic, 70s-inspired aesthetic, marrying contemporary craftsmanship with classic design elements.
